Well… Shit… This really is their best album. My reasoning? Starless. Enough said.

Absolute foundational album for me. This is where my love for experimental hip hop began. Thank you, Thebe.

So sonically and emotionally punishing from start to finish. Absolutely incredible.

In contention for my favorite King Krule album. But that’s tough because he hasn’t really missed with any of his albums. Seriously one of the most overlooked discographies of the last decade it’s just so damn consistent. Played this so much during covid and beyond and has become an important one in the grand scheme of music listening for me. Such a Phenomenal cohesive masterpiece from Archy.

GY!BE’s 8th full length album is a beautiful prayer for hope. The atrocities that are happening to the people of Gaza for the last year has been absolutely enraging and painful to witness. Lots of moments in this album do a great job invoking these feelings by holding these long drones and deep, dynamic, and winding passages that Godspeed has been known for for the last 25 years, and the result of these have been the best since probably their comeback in 2012. Really really enjoyed this album from front to back seriously an incredible album from an even more incredible band.
