Sometimes it takes a fifth listen on a long subway trip to get the vibe of an album.

Happy to see the band together (I didn't like that separate double album at all) and their quest to explore different stuff in every release. It's not at the level of the three first albums but still works. One of my favorite bands of the last decade. ❤️

  • Also you might enjoy the band drummer Marc Pell's album "Punk Drums". Just that: punk drums.

  • "Love what survives" is more band-like and immediate. "Cold Spring Fault Less Youth" is slower but has more depth and detail.

From the early electronic years, "Carbonated EP" and "Maybes EP".

  • I never listened to them properly, apart from random collaborations with King Krule and Micachu. Which album would you recommend to start with?
