Why Lawd?

Picked up the vinyl a week before its release and being able to listen to it early feels like finding a rare treasure before the rest of the world flocks to it. The quality of production is insane and Knxwledge knows exactly how to weave every song together. Only critical thing I can say is that album doesn't slow down enough, even though it has a full roster of downtempo tracks. The runtime is just a bit too short for it to really breathe, maybe because of the six songs that run under the 2 minute mark. From the ultra soul of FromHere (with a great D.O Double G feature) to the rap "interludes", this really is a rightful successor to 2016s Yes Lawd! New summer album unlocked!
