my rational brain: man what do you expect me to do, interpret this shit? i mean i can tell from the titles that it's saying something about Palestine, but the music itself? i dunno if i'm up to the task

UPDATE: i was too depressed to enjoy this album properly when it came out. seeing Ginger Root live cured my depression so now it’s 5 stars. if you missed the tour, definitely experience the album as a series of music videos

there are some really great singles on here. No Problems, All Night, and Only You are a memorable trio. but the rest of the album just kinda blends into the background for me. maybe next year i'll pop it on and be like whoaaaa Giddy Up is lifechanging, i gotta reevaluate but i haven't gotten there yet.

oh but if we're including the multimedia experience, it's definitely at least 4 stars… More

the mv for I'm The President affected me deeply. i think my neuroplasticity improved for the 6-8 months after i listened to this album
